International competition in Kansas City a success
Moving on up! Our pursuit of musical artistry and excellence achieved a new milestone with our competitive performance during the 2011 Barbershop Harmony International Convention held in early July. Our second consecutive appearance on the "big stage" earned an 82.9 score from the judging panel - a 1.6 point improvement over last year's inaugural trip to International - moving us up from 20th position last year to 12th among the top 30 choruses that earned an invitation. Of the world's 800+ Barbershop Harmony Society choruses, a little over 200 compete for a coveted invitation to the annual International competition.
We invite one and all, particularly men of good character who love to sing, to come visit us any Monday night from 7-10 pm at First Presbyterian Church, West Linden and Nye Avenue, Fremont, Nebraska. You'll see and hear first-hand why over 100 men from a 750 square mile area enjoy singing with the 2010 Central States District chorus champion, ranked 12th in the world.
