Two State Four are the 2002 CSD Quartet Champions! This quartet is made up of John Vaughan singing Tenor from Hudson, Iowa, Dave Pinkall singing Bass from Fremont, Nebraska, Curt Meier singing Lead from State Center, Iowa, and Chad Knipfer (the kid) singing Baritone from Hills, Iowa. Years of experience in the quartet means that we will see a lot more from them come International Prelim time in the Spring.

Dave Pinkall, the quartet's Bass, has been singing Barbershop for over 30 years and is a long standing member of the Fremont Pathfinders Barbershop Chorus and is the Chapter's Vice President of Music and Performance, serving his second year and is an Associate Director for the Pathfinders. Dave is also not new to the CSD contest stage, as this is his third CSD Quartet title. He won with Missouri Valley Music Company in 1985, Nebraska Compromise in 1996, and with Two State Four in 2002. He has also competed on the international stage on seven occasions, with a top 20 finish to his credit with the Missouri Valley Music Company.
